SNK's 1999 handheld, with a clicky microswitched thumbstick beloved of fighting-game players and a doomed launch against Nintendo's Game Boy Color. It was discontinued quickly and has become a cult favourite since.
SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium remains one of the finest handheld fighters ever made.

Why it mattered

Neo Geo Pocket Color Boot ROM (ngpc.rom)
Beetle NeoPop emulates the color Neo Geo Pocket BIOS in high-level emulation, booting games directly without external files. Supplying an authentic ngpc.rom allows setting the system language, user nickname, and calendar.
