Sony's 2011 handheld, technically gorgeous with its OLED screen and dual sticks, and commercially undone by the smartphone and by Sony's own loss of interest. Its fans defend it fiercely.
Persona 4 Golden, the definitive version of a beloved RPG, was the reason many people kept the machine long after Sony stopped.

Why it mattered
The Vita is the last great dedicated gaming handheld, killed less by weakness than by the smartphone and Sony's own indifference — and preserved by fans who refused the verdict.

PlayStation Vita System Firmware (PSP2UPDAT.PUP)
Vita3K requires installing the official PlayStation Vita system software update (PSP2UPDAT.PUP) and firmware font package. The update package provides the necessary system modules, audio codecs, and fonts to render games.
How many files you need: 2. Two official packages: the system firmware PUP file and the firmware font package, installed through Vita3K's File menu.
